Key Family Support Services & Workshops

Wirral Family Hubs Wirral Family Hubs offer a wide range of free, evidence-based courses for families with children aged 0–19. These sessions are delivered by trained professionals and cover everything from child development and parenting support to tailored autism awareness sessions. In-person activities include baby massage, sensory play, and more.

Family Toolbox This is an excellent, central online resource for Wirral families. It features a comprehensive directory of local support, including relationship workshops (such as those from Next Chapter NW CIC) and practical tips for everyday family life.

Specialized Courses for Parents and Carers

  • Autism Together Workshops: A highly recommended 5-week course designed specifically for families with autistic children. It covers vital topics such as communication, navigating sensory differences, and managing anxiety.
  • EPEC ‘Being a Parent’ Course: A free, interactive 9-week course for parents of children aged 2–11. Wonderfully, this course is run by parents for parents, led by trained parent volunteers who truly understand the day-to-day realities of raising children.
  • Togetherness: These workshops focus on the psychology of well-being, emotional resilience, and brain development, offering brilliant insights for parents navigating the primary years and looking ahead to the teenage transition.

  3. Speak to Us: Our door at Stanton Road is always open. School staff or your health visitor can help connect you with these services. Where appropriate, we can also make referrals to the Team Around the Family (TAF) to provide you with targeted, wrap-around support.
