Charging and Remissions: Working in Partnership with Families
At Stanton Road Primary School, we are deeply committed to ensuring equal opportunities for all our pupils, regardless of financial circumstances.
We have established our Charging and Remissions Policy to ensure that no child is discriminated against by our offering of school trips, activities, and educational extras.
We are very mindful of the current cost of living and the pressures this can place on household budgets. We want to work in true partnership with our parents and carers to ensure every child gets the most out of their time with us.
Balancing Enrichment with Cost
To give our children the most memorable and enriching experiences possible, some events and trips do cost money. However, the costs of these activities are always carefully considered when we manage and plan our annual school calendar. We work hard to balance the desire to give our children amazing opportunities with the financial impact on our families, and we always try our absolute best to source and provide free experiences wherever we can.
Our commitment to you: We will never charge for education provided during school hours. We may, from time to time, ask for voluntary contributions to help fund special school activities.There is no obligation for parents to make a voluntary contribution. No pupil will ever be excluded from an activity simply because their parents are unwilling or unable to pay. (Please note: If insufficient voluntary contributions are raised and the school cannot fund it via another source, the activity may have to be cancelled ).

If you are struggling financially, please know that you can always have a confidential and respectful conversation with our school staff.
