Pupil Leadership: Our Stanton Road Ambassadors
At Stanton Road Primary School, we believe that our children are our greatest asset and our most powerful voices. We are incredibly proud of our Pupil Leadership team, who play a vital role in making our school a happier, safer, and more inspiring place to learn.
Every year, our children exercise their democratic rights by voting for their classmates to take on these prestigious ambassador roles. Our ambassadors are true role models, putting our core values of collaboration, inspiration, citizenship, and expression into action every single day! Here is a closer look at our wonderful ambassador teams and the important work they do:
Reading Ambassadors
These enthusiastic bookworms are dedicated to spreading a lifelong love of reading! They lead our exciting World Book Day events and present regular reading assemblies. They also act as wonderful reading role models, reading to our younger classes and visiting residents at Charlotte House to share stories and build beautiful links with our local community.
Travel Ambassadors
Travel Ambassadors are passionate about keeping our school community safe and active. They are in charge of managing our daily WOW Travel Tracker, encouraging everyone to walk, wheel, or scoot to school. They also take their responsibilities out to the streets, conducting vital traffic, speed, and parking surveys to ensure our roads are safe for everyone.
Character Values Ambassadors
These pupils are the proud faces and voices of Stanton Road! They welcome visitors and lead our family tours, sharing exactly what makes our school so special. They are also our lead presenters for assemblies and special school celebrations, such as our recent 90th Birthday event.
STEM Ambassadors
Igniting curiosity across the school, our STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths) Ambassadors are our resident innovators. They take the lead during Science Week and are instrumental in organising and running our highly anticipated annual Science Fair.
MyHappymind Ambassadors
Mental health and wellbeing are a huge priority at Stanton Road. Our myHappymind Ambassadors support their peers by sharing helpful mental health and self-care strategies. They present in assemblies and actively gather feedback from both pupils and teachers to ensure our wellbeing projects are making a real difference.
Playground Leaders
Our Playground Leaders ensure that break times are fun, active, and inclusive for everyone. They work closely with our younger pupils, acting as fantastic role models by demonstrating how to play games, take turns, share beautifully, and use the playground equipment safely.
Eco Ambassadors
Dedicated to protecting our planet, our Eco Ambassadors keep Stanton Road green! They actively monitor our electricity use, politely reminding adults to switch off lights and whiteboards when rooms are empty. They also keep our environment beautiful by litter-picking on the playground and heading out into the local community to litter-pick alongside Brighter Bebington.
