At Stanton Road, we believe that education is about more than just academic success; it is about growing good humans who understand the world around them. A vital part of our Personal Development offer is teaching our children the importance of empathy, active citizenship, and thinking of others.
One of the most powerful ways we bring these values to life is through our Class Charities initiative. Each year, our classes or year groups take ownership of a specific charity. By working together toward a shared, meaningful goal, our children learn first-hand the incredible impact they can have when they collaborate for a common purpose.
This initiative empowers our pupils to look beyond themselves, identify needs within their local and global communities, and take positive action. Whether they are raising awareness, collecting donations, or organising fundraising events, our children are learning that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a big difference.
Our 2025-2026 Class Charities
We are incredibly proud of the diverse range of vital causes our classes have chosen to support this academic year:
- Rowan Class: Macmillan Coffee Morning
- Willow Class: Harvest Festival in support of the Wirral Foodbank
- Laurel Class: Comic Relief (Red Nose Day)
- Oak Class: The Royal British Legion & The Teams4U Shoebox Appeal (collecting essential items and small gifts for vulnerable children)
- Sycamore Class: Alzheimer’s and Dementia Awareness
- Apple, Holly & Cherry Classes: Jackson’s Animal Rescue (collecting vital supplies for animals in need)
- Hazel & Birch Classes: Claire House Children’s Hospice
Through these dedicated projects, our children are not just raising money and supplies; they are raising their own awareness and developing a strong, compassionate moral compass that will stay with them for life.
